TMC Outpatient Infusion Therapy Center
Infusion therapy, or IV therapy, is performed to deliver medications, fluids or nutrients directly into the patient's bloodstream rather than orally, resulting in a higher absorption rate. This is done intravenously by inserting an IV into the patient's arm to deliver the fluid. Infusion therapy is ideal for patients who have difficulty taking medications or fluids orally, or have been unresponsive to oral medications.
Patients can receive infusion therapy at the TMC Outpatient Infusion Therapy Center, located at Texoma Medical Center. Because this is a hospital-based clinic, patients and their physicians can take comfort in the fact that services are provided in a hospital environment, rather than at a standalone facility.
